FROM SANSAR CARE FOUNDATION TO KALYAAN TRUST: A JOURNEY OF GROWTH AND IMPACT
BACKGROUND AND EVOLUTION
Established in 2019, Sansar Care Foundation was initiated with a vision to address critical social issues and uplift underprivileged communities. Over the years, the foundation became a beacon of hope for many, focusing on education, healthcare, and livelihood support. Recognizing the need to scale its operations and align with broader developmental goals, the organization transitioned into Kalyaan Trust in 2024. This transformation marked a significant milestone, expanding its objectives and solidifying its commitment to holistic community development.
MISSION AND VISION OF KALYAAN TRUST
Kalyaan Trust envisions creating a society where every individual has access to quality education, healthcare, and opportunities to lead a dignified life. The mission is to empower marginalized communities by addressing their most pressing needs through focused initiatives in well-defined verticals.
CORE OBJECTIVES OF THE TRUST
The objectives of the Trust are charitable and non-profit in nature, aimed at the holistic development of remote, underserved, and tribal villages in India, particularly along the Line of Control (LOC) and Line of Actual Control (LAC).
- To promote underprivileged children, without distinguishing on caste, color, religion basis, by providing them primary, secondary as well as advance education, growth oriented ambience, exposure, appropriate training under supervision of qualified faculty with boarding and hostel facilities with a view to bring them in main stream of life at par with other / privileged to make them an real asset for society and country particularly when India is known for its intelligence, directly though KALYAAN TRUST Initiative named VIDYA-DAAN, various projects: Facilitating Underserved School Children, Adopting, Facilitating and Reforming Residential Schools, Scholarship for Higher Education and School Children, Library and Learning Resource Center, E – Learning Setup (Smart Classes).
- To provide need based medical assistance with focus on those unfortunate people who die because of lack of proper and timely medical facilities. However, medical facilities can be provided in any form including cash assistance for purchase of medicine, artificial limb, setting up Medical camps, providing ambulance, Health Clinics etc. directly though KALYAAN TRUST Initiative named CHIKITSA-YAAN, CHIKITSA-YAAN (Healthcare) Initiative Programs: Deployment of Mobile Medical Vans for Accessible Healthcare, Ambulances Equipped with First-Response Kits and Stationed Doctors for Emergencies, Regular Health Check-up Camps to Promote Preventive Healthcare, Establishment of Specialized Clinics for Chronic and Complex Medical Conditions, Financial Support for High-Cost Medical Procedures.
- To dedicate effort to empower women in these border villages, fostering economic independence and social change. The program provides skill training in areas such as handicrafts, small-scale farming, and micro-entrepreneurship, helping women become key contributors to their households and communities. Empowered women, in turn, strengthen the social fabric of their communities, leading to more stable families and resilient economies, directly though KALYAAN TRUST Initiative named NAARI-UTHAAN (WOMEN EMPOWERMENT): Promotion of Greenhouses for SHGs (Self-Help Groups) and Training Programs in Sustainable Agriculture, Installation of Machinery for Skill Development and Small-Scale Manufacturing, Recycling and Eco-Product Manufacturing, Conducting Menstrual Hygiene Workshops and Product Distributions, Women-Centric Social Awareness Campaigns, Self-Defense Training, Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Distribution of Basic Amenities to Women-Led Households.
- To focus on improving infrastructure in these remote villages to uplift living conditions and support sustainable growth. This includes the development of clean drinking water facilities, better sanitation, rural roads, and community centers. Improved infrastructure not only raises the standard of living but also creates an environment where economic and social development can thrive, directly though KALYAAN TRUST Initiative named GRAM-NIRMAAN. GRAM-NIRMAAN INITIATIVE (VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT) Promotion of Homestays to Boost Tourism and Local Income, Farming and Plantation Drives for Environmental Conservation and Food Security, Community Buildings for Social Gatherings and Training, Solar-powered Room Heaters, Water Heaters, and Lights, Sports Facilities for Youth to Encourage Healthy Lifestyles, Transport Facilities to Schools, Colleges, and Nearby Villages.
- To Strategies projects in rural development to create transformative and sustainable change for generations, focusing on long-term socio-economic growth, self-reliance, and environmental resilience trough establishing production units like dairy farming, wool processing, and pickle-making to boost local entrepreneurship and employment. Infrastructure projects, such as water harvesting systems, solar-powered sanitation facilities, and waste recycling units, address critical resource challenges while promoting eco-friendly practices. Advanced initiatives, including smart connectivity solutions, green energy deployment, and sustainable agriculture models, integrate modern technologies into traditional systems. PRODUCTION UNITS: Dairy Production Units for Local Employment and Dairy Self-Sufficiency, Wool Milling and Dyeing Facilities for Traditional Crafts and Textiles, Pickle Production Factories as Cottage Industry Enterprises, Herbal and Medicinal Plant Processing, Bamboo and Wood Craft Production, Food Processing Units for Grains, Pulses, Renewable Energy Production (Solar, Wind, Biomass), Aquaculture and Fish Farming Projects
WITH ITS EVOLUTION, KALYAAN TRUST EXPANDED ITS SCOPE TO INCLUDE THE OTHER FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES:
- To work for the development of harmonious relations between all citizens irrespective of caste, creed, sex or religion and work for upliftment of the community in general and disadvantageous sections of the society in particular which includes poor/ deprived /destitute /backward persons etc.
- To develop and conduct training programs/ seminars / workshops/ conventions /conferences / exhibition / contests/cultural programs/ placements/ job fairs symposia etc. on various aspects in both India and abroad.
- To promote and create awareness to protect and improve environment.
- To establish, develop, construct, maintain or grant aid in cash or in kind to Hospitals, medical schools, dispensaries, maternity homes, public welfare centers inter-alia anathalyas, vridh ashram (old age home), leprosy ashram, and andh vidyalayas, female educational and vocational institute, home for destitute at all for poor, needy and destitute.
ACHIEVEMENTS AND IMPACT
- Since its inception in 2019 as Sansar Care Foundation, and now under the umbrella of Kalyaan Trust, the organization has achieved significant milestones:
- Provided educational support to over 5,000+ children.
- Delivered healthcare services to more than 10,000+ individuals.
- Supported 2,000+ families with livelihood enhancement programs.
- Planted 10,000 trees under environmental initiatives.
FUTURE PLANS
KALYAAN TRUST aims to scale its operations by collaborating with corporate partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders. The focus will remain on creating sustainable models that can be replicated in other regions to amplify impact.
